Viper double bend canoe paddle is ergonomically designed with a double bend shaft to help keep both wrists aligned when paddling. Double bend shafts don’t only permit ergonomically correct designs, they improve efficiency and performance while diminishing fatigue. A great improvement over straight shaft paddles. While you may not use them in white water, they are solid performers for touring and expedition paddling.
This paddle is hand-crafted in Osceola, Wisconsin of durable, lightweight basswoods. The Viper’s durable blade has a 4 oz. fiberglass wrap and full Rockgard® protection for added peace of mind. The curved palm grip is more comfortable in your hands than t-grips with less “wear and tear” on your hands after some hard miles. This paddle is both stunning to look at and a treat to paddle on long trips.
The Viper is available in lengths of 48 inches to 54 inches (in 2-inch increments). We recommend bend shaft paddles be two inches shorter than your favorite straight shaft canoe.
